Environment
Customers, shareholders and consumers are increasingly demanding environmentally responsible products and services. We comply with environmental standards and demonstrate our commitment to the environment in all day-to-day operations.
We ensure that we comply with environmental legislation, have better use of energy and resources, and reduce costs over time. By demonstrating a real commitment to the environment we have transformed our company culture, improving employee ethics and the workplace.
Norcross has been part of the Enviro-Mark programme for eight years.
Our environmental policy defines the objectives and targets that drive performance improvements. Waste streams / maps have been defined and an environmental impact and aspects register maintained for each activity with controls in place to minimise and eliminate waste.
Norcross pioneered Greenprint in 1999 in collaboration with the Waitakere City Council and was an early adopter of this programme recognising the need for both environmental sustainability and the health and wellbeing of our people.
We are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our own activities and helping our customers and business partners do the same. Our management of carbon, waste, water and paper use involves ambitious reduction targets (such as 5% carbon emissions reduction year on year and 10% reduction of waste to landfill).
