History
The Norcross family business evolved from a general store in Helensville that was owned by Henry C Norcross in 1914 to a stationery and book store with Robert Norcross and his daughter Anne in the mid fifties. The business has been evolved over the intervening years by his son Henry B Norcross and great-grandson Henry J Norcross who is now the major shareholder and Managing Director of Norcross Printing Group.
During the late 60's the company made a natural progression from stationery to general office printing, this was in response to customer demand for a high quality and good value local printer.
As the 80's saw clients implement compurterised systems the company responded by establishing a business and computer forms printing plant to meet their needs.
By 1987 an innovative Norcross Printing Group was printing in five colours and had offices in Henderson, Hamilton, Palmerston North and Wellington. Brothers Henry J and Phillip Norcross purchased the business in 1992 and set up offices in central Auckland and Tauranga.
The 90's saw a new wave of growth under their direction with a new plant, offices in Grafton Road, Auckland, the establishment of Pre-press, Sales, and Customer Services departments, an expanded Henderson plant, and the arrival of the (then) very latest five colour Heidelberg presses.
In 1999 Norcross led the market with the first web-based ordering system. To the present day, Norcross has continued to invest in leading technology and machinery including digital printing continually innovating to find better ways to service the New Zealand market.
